The room was spacious and impeccably clean, showcasing the hard work of the cleaning staff. The comfortable bed and heat pump made the humid weather manageable. The corner spa bath was an added luxury that enhanced the overall experience. ,
A minor issue was the back door's large window requiring a blind for morning light.

We got a room in the back. Most of the rooms are located on the front side facing a busy street.
No special accommodation: simple and clean. Sufficient for one overnight stay.

My stay was amazing for business trip. The location in a nice quiet area was great and comfortable and there where a shopping area and several stores nearby. There was a nice restaurant just a short walk away from the hotel.

Good Experience in Gisborne
I was eager to visit the Captain Cook Statue during my trip, as it holds historical significance and is a beautiful sight. The service was really good, and I enjoyed a delicious meal at the Navigator, the hotel’s restaurant. The free Wi-Fi and barbecue area were great additions, making my stay even more enjoyable. Plus, the location allowed for easy access to the beach, which was perfect for relaxing and catching the sunset.
Only the weather!

I really enjoyed the hotel, its big size and bright room and warm hearted staff. The property had a central setting to everything in gisborne. The attached restaurant food was reasonably priced. Spent here 1 enjoyable day and would use them next time.

I appreciated the convenience of having parking right outside, although lugging my heavy bags back and forth was a hassle. the stay felt quiet and undisturbed; however, I couldn't shake the feeling that the rates might be better elsewhere.
On a minor note, I was disappointed to find the unit lacked an iron and ironing board. It was a slight inconvenience, but it didn't overshadow the overall comfort of my visit.

Super nice and helpful staff, VERY clean and above all enough space in the rooms. Situated on the road, but still quiet. Small garden access, laundry drying outside possible!
Everything was perfect, there's nothing to complain about.

That was exceptionally comfortable hotel set in nice quiet area, near establishment, areas of interest and the beach and the boardwalk.

The air conditioning unit barely cools, likely due to a dirty filter, which leads to discomfort. The presence of truck noise from the nearby thoroughfare can be disruptive, especially for light sleepers. Poor shower pressure fluctuates from hot to cold.

Location near the beach and to the centre of town was important to someone "on foot".

The service staff were very nice. You could share a kitchen for breakfast, had outside seating. The way to the beach and the beautiful city was short, so that you could be without a car.
The room was a bit small, so there was only room for a bedside table on one side.

during my recent stay at captain cook, i found the location to be excellent, allowing easy access to nearby restaurants and attractions. my unit was very comfortable, equipped with a heating system, and able to accommodate five people, which was perfect for my group. the staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed, and the meals on-site were both delicious and reasonably priced. laundry facilities were a huge plus as well!
Nothing, all great! 😊.

Great location between the beach and downtown. The room was huge, we also had a small terrace at the room. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom with infrared radiators was perfect. First-class staff and super-clean!
Gisborne himself was not so great now. The motel made up for it. :)
